Signs and Symptoms of LSD

Street Names: Acid, Blotter, Boomers, Cubes, Microdot, Yellow sunshines, Ying yang, Paper acid, Superman

Method of Use: Orally (absorbed into “blotter papers” and is dissolved on the tongue and other tissues within the mouth)


Symptoms/Effects of Use

  • Dilated pupils
  • Disorientation
  • Rambling or strange speech
  • Sweating
  • Dry mouth
  • Rapid mood changes
  • Erratic, unpredictable behavior
  • Sleeplessness
  • Loss of appetite
  • Panic and/or heightened anxiety response
  • Increased body temperature
  • Increased heart rate
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Tremors
  • Flashbacks (even long after use of the drug has ended)
  • Altered sense of self and time
  • Hearing colors and seeing sounds (“cross-over” sensations)
  • Delusions/visual hallucinations

What to Look For

  • Rapid mood swings
  • Anxiety/paranoia
  • Sweating
  • Change in speech
  • Dilated pupils
  • Drastic change in sensations/feelings
  • Papers with stamp-like pictures
